Background
I’ve been an industry professional in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire area for the past 12 years. I’ve been a broadcaster, presenter, producer, voice-over and media trainer and fronted the BBC’s Look North programme with Peter Levy in Hull.
I always hankered after an overseas posting and left Look North in 2005 for a job with the MOD in Cyprus! I returned a year later after missing the Humber’s renowned fish and chips and started a new life as a freelancers. I worked with a number of blue chip companies including Unilever, Kimberly Clark and Press Association before joining a small team tasked with launching the UK’s first dedicated new film and TV talent channel on Sky, propeller TV.
I am at home making programmes but also still enjoy producing and presenting. I’m also a respected voice over artist and still find time to present a Saturday morning radio show on BBC Radio Humberside with my glamourous assistant, ‘Bob’ seen here below!
In recent years I’ve turned my attention to relaunching the UK’s longest running local TV channel, Channel 7, based in Immingham whilst providing students with valuable industry experience.
I run a portfolio of media training courses from the studios and regularly attend events and conferences as a visiting lecturer in radio and television production.
I live in East Yorkshire with my other half Phil who does something called chartered surveyoring?! and my ginger cat, Leslie.
