The Govt says we will save £9m a year if we get the socially excluded online. The NDI10 conference on the 10th March 2010 discussed this and many other themes around digital inclusion however what are the next steps?

Lovely vlog, some interesting points raised.

It’s pretty crucial that technology gets better with time and thankfully it’s not doing too badly at the moment. When you consider what a site like facebook has done for communicating it’s pretty incredible. It’s really lowered the barriers and raised the pace, now the 45+ are the fastest growing demographic on there. Your man on the train will be their next target.

Nothing’s solved over night but we’re going in the right direction.

    Heh Ben….

My mum is a case in point, she uses facebook for her geanology research however not too sure she understands how to use social media safely.

We need to teach digitally excluded good governance as well as make it relevant to their needs.
